PREMISE
Shyventures is about Antonius, a young boy who's biggest wish is to be a superhero. A powerful spirit senses his courage and grants him his wish, while also taking him as his host/apprentice. With his friends at his side and his dream realized, he goes off on a journey to save the world... Unaware of the cracks forming in his rose-tinted glasses.
DESCRIPTION
Shyventures is a 2D animated web-series created by YouTuber ShyGuy741/Antonius Thompson. This wiki project is based on Shyventures. As stated at the very beginning of Episode 1, Shyventures is based off of a dream he (Shy) had of himself and his closest friends being superheroes and saving the world. This show had many predecessors and concepts created before we got the show we all know and love today. As of right now, it's on its 1st season with 2 full episodes, with a 3rd episode coming soon. According to information available to us now, Shyventures is planned to be 6 seasons long.
This series has many inspirations, some of which include Glitchtale, a popular Undertale AU created by Camila Cuevas (Plot)[1], and My Hero Academia, a popular anime (Art style). All of the heroes are based off of Shy's real life friends. Shy has also mentioned that his friends have plenty of involvement with the show, most notably with voice acting (E.g Bella voice acting herself in the show) and serving as a test audience.
MEDIA
This show has several intros and shorts available to view now, but there are a few missing or lost pieces of media, including but not limited to:
- A trailer posted in 2019, claiming Shyventures would come out in 2020 (2019-2021)[2]
- A short animation featuring Reese, Gavin, and Shy at a birthday party (presumably one of theirs) (2020-2021)
- Various animations depicting Shy and Shadow, one of the most notable being an animation where Shy becomes possessed by Shadow to the song "Additional Memory" by Jin. (2021-2023)[3]
TRIVIA
- Shyventures was in development/production for around 3 years before being officially released. (Measuring the time between the release of ShyGlitchTale and the release of Shyventures E1)
- According to the Shyventures twitter account, Shyventures is an autobiography with some fictional aspects.
